US Postal rate change for Canada & all International customers (First Class International Mail) As of February 28, 2022 our Postal Service has, once again, increased freight (shipping/handling) charges to our domestic, Canadian and other International customers. Please understand, we don't like this any more than you do, but our Postal Service has decided to, once again, raise the postal rates for all First Class International Mail. What is shipping and "handling"? For our customers, shipping is what the Postal Service charges us for postage to ship your order. The "handling" part is what it costs us for the shipping box, label, printing, packing and taping to make the parcel ready for shipment and getting it to the Post Office. Our cost for boxes (which we buy in large quantity) typically runs ~$0.45-$1.00 each. Most of the rest of the costs we absorb as part of doing business with you.So... the table below shows the US Postal rate by weight. We stopped at 2-pounds because 98% of our shipments are under 1 pound and the vast majority are 8-ounces or less, with more than half at 2-4 ounces. We added another column to include the cost of "handling". That shows our total charge, by weight, for us to ship your order to you. Even though these new costs are really not terribly expensive (compared to UPS or FedEx) they are still a substantial increase from the previous rates. WE WILL COVER THE COST OF SHIPPING (up to 32 ounces) FOR ORDERS TO CANADA OF $200.00 OR MORE.
Here's how we will make this change as painless as possible: By default, when you place an order online, the minimum freight charge of $15.50 will be added to your order. Based on the actual packaged weight and declared value of your order, we will:
Since more than 95% of all orders placed ship within 48 hours, most customers will not see any appreciable delay. And, don't forget... WE WILL COVER THE COST OF SHIPPING (up to 2 lbs.) FOR ORDERS TO CANADA OF $200.00 OR MORE. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
