N8103A-X Simulator Super Booster Board
Our N8103A-X Simulator Super Booster Board is available in 3 varieties and is the "big brother" to our N8103-X version. The N8103A-1 is for a single channel output, the -2 is for a dual-channelk output, and the -3 is for a triple channel output boost. This corresponds to our N80XX Simulators with either a single, two or three outputs programmed for lighting effects. These Super Booster Boards are designed to "piggy-back" a N80XX Simulator directly on the board using short jumper wires soldered to the Simulator and the Booster Board. Our N80XX Simulators have a maximum output voltage of 5-volt DC and output current of 25ma on each of the 3 outputs. This Super Booster Board is designed to increase that output by a larger factor depending on the DC power supply voltage being used. Our Super Booster board has, in its final circuit stage, a large power transistor that can handle up to 1.15 Watts of power. If the Booster has multiple channels, each channel has this large power transistor. That means, depending on power supply voltage, it can handle a proportional amount of current (Amperage) as follows:
With 6 volt DC supply it can support
191ma of current (over 7 times a simulator output)
9 volt DC supply it can support
128ma and higher output
voltage
12 volt DC supply it can support 96ma
and much higher output voltage 18 volt DC supply it can support 64ma and very much higher output voltage For a complete description and all technical details of our N8301A-X Super Booster Board please follow this link This module has circuitry on the top side of the board so mounting is quite simple and included with the product is a 1/2" square piece of double-sided foam adhesive.
