   N8110-XX & NLD8110-XX Simulator Modules

This Simulator is the newest in our family of Lighting Effects Simulators. It has a physical size at 0.50" (12.7 mm) x 0.38" (9.7 mm) with a typical thickness of 0.13" (3.3 mm)

This module has circuitry on the top side of the board and solder jumpers for on-board resistors on the back. Included with the product is a 1/2" X 1/4"  piece of double-sided foam adhesive for easy mounting if the board.

The N8110-XX has an on-board 5-volt DC precision regulator for output voltages and supports a DC input voltage range of 7-24 volts. The on-board advanced microcontroller has five programmable outputs and one input for control functions. There are also on-board placements for six current limiting resistors for LED connection. Each resistor can be solder jumpered for either +DC or -DC connection depending on the type of lighting effect control needed. The advanced microcontroller has the capapbility to provide three independent PWM (pulse-width-modulated) outputs as well as many other advanced control features. There is also an independent 5-volt DC output on the board for "always-on" LED capability

Due to its small size, this series does not have on-board DC input polarity protection.

The NLD8110-XX series is a Low-voltage version that uses the same high-precision switching regulator but is configured for a 3.3-volt output voltage and supports a DC input voltage range of 3.4-24 volts. It will support DCC sound decoders that have 3.3-volt accessory outputs and... support R/C modeling applications that use 3.6-3.8 volt batteries. This series uses the same microcontroller as the N8110-XX above. This series does not have on-board DC input polarity protection.
