patient.
The photo to the right is of an N-scale Santa Fe
E-8 with our Marslight Simulator in action. The headlight is using one of our
N1022 2x3mm Super Incandescent LEDs, while the Marslight (upper) is using our
Micro Super yellow-white LED. Click anywhere on the image to start the video.
Note: This video is not enhanced
or retouched and is taken with full room lighting (not a darkened
room like many videos showing lighting effects). Even with full light,
the Mars effect is highly visible (notice the glint in the tracks).

N8031B Super-Marslight

To the right are two videos of our 3-LED
Super-Marslight in operation in the nose of an N-scale F-unit. We
believe this Simulator more accurately represents the actual Marslight
motion than anything else we've seen. Check out the un-retouched videos
and judge for yourself. We would appreciate your comments.
Note: In a smaller modeling scale such as N-scale,
assembly of the LEDs to perform this effect will require precision
soldering of small components (Nano LEDs). We would classify this as
advanced soldering capability required.
